 Giedra was born in 1969 in Kaunas, the second biggest city in Lithuania. She graduated from Kaunas Higher Arts School, later - Kaunas Department of Vilnius Academy of Fine Arts. Giedra lives in Vilnius and works as a press designer in the biggest Lithuanian dailies.

"Paintings are the views that are not afraid of balancing on the very edges of gentleness. Sharp fairy tale which is not afraid of itself and its logics. It is the penetration into the very centre of tenderness. Its views and its heroes are gently courageous. Fairies and apples, mistical silhouttes and fairies, the world of the good survived, the world where the good creates its oppositions again in order to find itself in an other dimension. These are not the figments of imagination,it's the presence that is called out of them. It's fragile, dreamy, pulsing with the power of beauty and surrounded by the horizon of longing. Its bounds protect the painter heroes so that they can look and see so freely that from their gentleness the blade of the beauty unwind itself."
