I was born in Vilnius in 1968. I spent my childhood in the Utena region, near the lake Vidingstas.
Upon finishing Vilnius Secondary School No. 44, I studied embroidering in Kaunas art crafts school in 1986-1988. In 1993 I graduated from Vilnius Academy of Fine Arts, Department of Textiles.
I held two one-woman exhibitions: In Kaunas Archives Gallery in 1995 and in the Gallery of Vilnius Academy of Fine Arts in 1998.
In 1999 I became a member of the Artists' Union.
Since 1990 I have been designing and embroidering flags for communities, ensembles, schools, universities, and the Lithuanian Army; since 1994 - liturgical vestments for churches, coats of arms.

The most genuine things happen when it seems to you that you are dreaming. Only then God's presence feels closest. I experience this as the greatest joy, the greatest pain, the most exciting moment which I do not comprehend, understand or identify with reality, actuality or present time - the time that practically does not exist. That time is captured in some sign or symbol which is the most important, dearest to me, which gives a sense to my existence most.
Stitch by stitch I sew together everything that worries, hurts, cheers. It is as if I go through the process of praying, meditating. This results in the sign or symbol which is needful for people or myself.
