Innocent Life

Contemporary Art Centre, Vilnius,
November 24th 2000–January 7th 2001
Organizers: Contemporary Art Centre and the Contemporary Art Information Centre of the Lithuanian Art Museum
Curators: Erika Grigoravičienė and Lolita Jablonskienė

Idea. Life without premature knowing and its discovery through traditional and modern means. An impression of a live, changing, but simultaneously integral individual. Spontaneous actions, unexpectancies, inaccuracies, mistakes. Areas of a personal life (family, children, love, anger, friends, leisure etc.) and expansion of human reality (communication with movie characters, consumption of models and images from the mass media). The turning of reality into images, and images – into reality. Innocent life is a variety of phenomena, tolerance, and a disregard of norms and superstitions alongside a certain feeling of measure, harmony and trust/belief. Innocent interaction of art and life.
Participants.
