culture.lt begins with a text published in Lithuania’s cultural press. We first identify its subject, context and strongest insights, then extend the same problem beyond hierarchical architecture by asking what it would look like in a post-hierarchical society.
Most of today’s models of culture, politics, education and economics were built in a world where organisation almost automatically meant hierarchy. We therefore tend to ask how existing institutions could be improved, even when the deeper question may be not who occupies their summit, but whether the social architecture itself should change.
What changes if hierarchy is no longer treated as an immutable condition of society?
Post-hierarchy is not a world without structure. It is an organising principle in which a person’s capacity to influence a shared process arises not primarily from their position in a pyramid, but from their contribution. culture.lt approaches culture as a self-organising process of meaning—a field in which people can create, evaluate, connect experience and act together.
