Vilnius Art Gallery for Children and Youth is widely engaged in various educational and recreational activities as well as in organizing exhibitions. It is a modern and in every way advanced institution; the gallery cherishes and promotes a respectful attitude toward the child’s or youth’s personality and self - expression. The gallery organizes national and international exhibitions of children's painting, it also holds competitions and various thematic exhibitions, cooperates with foreign embassies and other representative offices. It is involved in various national and international projects.

Major exhibitions:
2004 The creation of Lithuanian artists – their drawing from childhood. „When I was a child“ (V.Daniliauskaitė, R.Katiliūtė, J.Stauskaitė A.Šaltenis, R.Bičiūnas)
2004 Monika Bičiūnienė and various children drawings (an exhibition from a cycle “FOLK ART AND THE CREATION OF CHILDREN”)
2005/2006 United Project realized together with TV3 television group working on Project „The action of kindness“. An exhibition called „I will draw myself a mother“ (participats – children from children houses of Lithuania) 
2006 Exhibotion/contest (together with publishing „Versus Aureus“and photographer Andriumi Surgailiu) „VANISHING WOODEN VILNIUS“
2007 The exhibition of young belarussian artists “TIME, SPACE, WE” (Maksim Borodič, Jurij Brel, Nadžda Godun, Marina Gorochovik, Andrej Jaroševič, Jan Jeresko, Olga Rudenia)
2007 Exhibotion/contest „ASTRID LINDGREN WITH US“ (arranged together with The Embassy of Sweden)
2008 Kelionė/Resan -  the journey of  art and dance between Lithuania and Sweden.
